Save the Date! Replanting Minnehaha to Take Place on OCTOBER 16!

Exciting news: Tree Trust has confirmed that the Replant Minnehaha Trees project is a recipient of their "Green Futures" replanting grant!

This means Tree Trust will provide trees, tools, and planting expertise to get trees in the ground along Minnehaha Ave and surrounding streets this fall! The replanting date has been set for October 16, 1-4 p.m. Please save the date and plan to come out to Minnehaha Ave that afternoon -- we hope to see lots of neighborhood folks out to help replant and celebrate!

Replant Minnehaha Trees continues to collect replanting permit applications and work on stump removal for the blocks whose homeowners have all signed up for replanting. So far 46 stumps have been removed. The final date to submit a replanting permit application is October 1. Tree Trust staff and the City Forestry Department are working to purchase a mix of trees to replant that will ensure a healthy, biodiverse tree canopy, and identify locations for 50+ trees to be replanted on the 16th!

To volunteer for replanting day or to submit a permit application, please email HamlineEarthkeepers@gmail.com.
